Hannah’s Blog Entry 5/5/15

Hey guys!
The past two weeks have been extremely busy so I have not been able to post as much as I would like to be. But basically nothing with my programming has changed. I still squat, bench, and dead lift about 4 times a week. Right now I am working with percentages that are slowly building up closer to my 1 rep max. Small jumps, not big jumps. This weeks average intensity is at around 79.4% of my max effort. Next week will be around 83.4%, with a deload week (minimal work with mostly rest days) following. I have been really excited for this meet, I will perform better than I did at my last. Which is always exciting. My bench has slowly been improving, I had been playing with my grip width and I think I have finally found my placement. This video is of 3×3@125LBS, at the beginning of the clip you can also see how I set up. Dead lifts have been coming along, I had 3×1@280LBS this week. I have yet to find my perfect groove for my setup and pull. I still think I have a lot to learn about this lift. Squats have been moving extremely well, I am very pleased with how I have been doing. I had some working sets @225LBS, and they moved well. I really have not been tweaking my squat setup for a while now, I am very pleased with it. Recently I have been trying to add more carbs to my preworkout meal to help with performance and energy and I like the effects of that. I still eat around 350 carbs right now and am very happy with it. I have been weighing in around 172lbs right now and that is how I hope it is when I weigh in the morning of my meet on the 23rd. Overall my lifts have been going really well and so has my diet. This week I will be writing about the strength camp I am putting on this summer for female athletes around CenLa. Details to come.
